During the recent blizzard, neighbors helped Rex and Anita get through 13 miles of snow drifts (some more than 6 feet high) to get Anita to the hospital 40 miles away. They even had to cross a soybean field to reach an ambulance that had made it 7 miles with the help of tractors.
